Dr Philippa Martyr from the University of Western Australia speaks about mental illness in our contemporary society and the insights of the Catholic intellectual tradition, particularly anthropology. Dr Martyr talks about the current state of mental health research and looks at alternative ways of thinking about mental health that are workable – and how they relate to our Catholic heritage.
