A vocation is God’s work not ours…. In the end it is about finding the God you who is actually looking for you.

Sr Hilda Scott OSB is a nun and the vocations contact for the enclosed Benedictine Abbey at Jamberoo.  She became known to wider Australia through the ABCTV documentary The Abbey in which 5 Australian women were invited to live monastic life for 33 days and nights.  Sr Hilda frequently speaks at retreats and conferences.

2. Joshua Scott’s Story

I felt the call in the Easter of 2006……. there was no tap on the shoulder from a hand out of heaven, no apparitions… it was just a gently consolation saying ‘Josh, there’s something here for you, there’s something more.’
22 year old Joshua Scott is a second year seminarian at the Seminary of the Good Shepherd, Sydney.  Here he speaks frankly of how his sister’s struggle with illness lead to an encounter with Christ that would change his life forever.

5. Scriptural Reflection with Dr Robert Tilley

This is the third in a series of 8 reflections on the call and vocation of biblical figures. This week: Job.Dr Tilley is a lecturer in biblical studies and ancient languages at the Catholic Institute of Sydney and also lectures at the Aquinas Academy. He is a regular a columnist for Annals Magazine. In 2007 Dr Tilley published “Benedict XVI and the Search for Truth” on the philosophy and theology of the Holy Father. Dr Tilley received his Divinity Honours, Masters Degree and PhD from the University of Sydney.
