Congregationalist pastor and author George McDonald may not be a household name, but he has had a profound influence on writers like C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien and W. H. Auden. One of his best works – The Princess and the Goblin – was even cited by G.K. Chesterton as a book that changed his “whole existence”.

Luke, Kiara and Victoria discuss The Princess and the Goblin; exploring the fairy tale’s use of imagination, the presentation of God’s Grace in the lives of two children, and how a great-great grandmother teaches us about the Virgin Mary and true femininity.
