Whilst often perceived to simply be something which is “serviced” in a parish, Byron and Francine Pirola explain rather how the family should be the primary evangelising unit of the parish and how they should be empowered for mission. Byron and Francine elaborate by explaining the potency of a couple or family’s witness when they live the Gospel, as a genuinely powerful testimony to the faith, to the Church and to the potential of the family unit. They also draw from the teachings found in Amoris Laetitia, in particular Pope Francis’ teachings on marriage and the family.
