St Thomas Becket was in London England in 1118. He was the Chancellor of England and later archbishop of Canterbury. He who was a good friend of King Henry II. Thomas opposed the King’s interference in ecclesiastical matters and was exiled several times. He murdered in his cathedral in 1170 and was later canonized 1173 by Pope Alexander III. Thomas is the patron saint of the clergy.
