St Isidore the Farmer was born in Madrid, Spain in 1622. He is known  as a Spanish day laborer known for his goodness toward the poor and animals. His daily routine consist of going to mass first thing in the morning and then praying throughout the day while he was tilling the soil. He married a simple and upright woman who as also a saint, Maria de la Cabeza. St Isidore died in 1622 and was canonised a saint in 1622. He is the patron saint of farmers, rural communities and Madrid.
