St Helena was born in the year 248 AD in Drepanon, Bithynia, Asia Minor. She is known as the mother of Constantine the Great. Helena converted to Christianity in her later years and she performed many acts of charity including building Churches in Rome and discovering the True Cross in the Holy Land. She died around the year 328 in Nicodemia and she is the patron saint against fires.
