Christianity and the Liberal Tradition: Friend of Foe?

2

“What is central is that for the Christian, there is lasting or permanent home on earth and there is no political theory or structure that they can finally embrace as their own. The only true political community is the Kingdom of God which is not realizable through human effort on earth in its fullness but something that will only arrive with the Second Coming.”

In this presentation, Alex Sidhu examines political liberalism and its relationship with Christianity. He refutes liberalism’s claim to neutrality by showing how this political framework is a response to plurality, which denies the existence of objective truth in favour of political stability.
