Prayerful Witness & the Battle for Life

For the past several weeks, sidewalks and busy thoroughfares in over 173 locations around the world have been filled with people doing something you don’t see everyday: praying openly and giving public witness to their faith. What we’re referring to, of course, is the annual 40 Days for Life campaign of prayer and fasting for the unborn, parents and workers in the abortion industry.

This year’s Sydney campaign has seen some encouraging fruits, including a nurse who recently quit her job at the preterm. We caught up with Family Life International Australia Executive Director Paul Hanrahan to find out more.

40 Days for Life 2013 runs from February 13 to March 24. To find out more, or to sign up as a vigiler, head to FLI Australia or the 40 Days for Life website. Sydney’s Day of the Unborn will begin with the 10:30am Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral, Sydney on Sunday 17 March.
