From Eden to New Eden

This first talk in Dr Tilley’s series is entitled “From Eden to New Eden; the Torah and the Tabernacle”. Dr Tilley presents an introduction to the problems of modern biblical criticism and its origins; the notion of beauty and its role in rediscovering the skill and subtlety of the writing of the Scriptures; and an exploration of the structure, journey and context of the Torah.

This series – The Beauty and Inspiration of the Bible – serves as an introduction to the contemporary trends in Biblical studies; including a rediscovery of what the ancients had always known of the Scriptures, an understanding of the Bible’s beautiful architecture in relation to the Temple, and how the Bible is written to prompt a deep reading of the text.
