Solidarity with persecuted Copts

Cradio listeners are invited to join the Coptic community on Wednesday the 19th of January to commemorate the victims of the New Year’s Church massacre in Alexandria.

The Rally will not only show solidarity with persecuted Christians in Egypt, but raise awareness about their worsening plight – and in particular, bring it to the attention of the Australian government.

It will begin on Wednesday at 11am, in Martin Place. Christians of all denominations are welcome, and in fact, anybody who supports human rights.

The event is being organised by the Australian Coptic Movement in conjunction with the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of Sydney.
