“The Church is in the world as the living presence of the love of God…”
Bishop Eugene Hurley, Bishop of the Diocese of Darwin, talks about the Church’s presence in the world to reach out to those whom no one else wants to reach. He relates to his own experience with the outcasts of society, the asylum seekers in detention near his own diocese, and those who feel too sinful to cross the threshold of a church.
Bishop Eugene Hurley was the Bishop of Port Pirie in South Australia, and has been serving as Bishop of Darwin since 2007.
