Practicing the “Art of Proper Celebration” in Parish Liturgy

Professor Clare Johnson explores the significance of the liturgical “Art of Proper Celebration” or the “Ars Celebrandi” and how to apply this properly in our parish liturgy. She explores the beauty of the liturgy, its extraordinary significance and how in applying the Ars Celebrandi, we can become more aware to the presence of Christ in our midst, promote and increase faith and discipleship and ultimately understand how we belong in the Body of Christ. She explains that in helping others understand the liturgy is an important step in evangelising.

This presentation was part of Proclaim 2016 on the theme “On a Mission of Mercy: Evangelising Parishes”, organised on behalf of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference and hosted by the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay.
