Bishop Comensoli speaks on Justice, Mercy and the Law for the Virtues Series at Australian Catholic University in North Sydney.
Taking the example of two young Australians sentenced to die in Indonesia, Bishop Comensoli shares an important explanation of the nature of justice. He uses biblical precedents and Catholic philosophy to show the difference between what is just and what is merciful, and demonstrates that a decent society, looking to a loving God, must employ both values in its justice system.
