Dr Robert Tilley explores essentialism, contemporary philosophy and the importance of difference in the Bible to explain why Scripture cannot support same-sex marriage. Dr Tilley also draws on the thought of Michel Foucault to describe the rise of “sexuality”, and the shift of sex from the realm of morality to the realm of medicine.
