The establishment of a new Pontifical Council for the promotion of the New Evangelization in 2010 and the Synod scheduled later this year on “The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Faith” demonstrate that the New Evangelisation is a high priority for the Church. How are we to understand this move of the Holy Spirit? How can we become involved in the New Evangelisation in our own circumstances?
Cathy Kennedy is the Director of CREDO, the Archdiocesan office for Evangelisation and Renewal. She has been involved in evangelisation and ministry at the parish, school and missionary level for over 25 years.
