Venerable Anthony Margil was born on the 18 August 1657 in Valencia, Spain. He is known as a Franciscan priest whose desire in life was to lead others to God. Anthony was a great missionary who travelled through Mexico, Costa Rica and Texas preaching parish missions among Spanish and Indian Christians. Venerable Anthony Margil died on the 6 August 1726 in Mexico City and was declared Venerable in 1836.
