St Peter Regalado was born in 1390. He entered the Conventual Franciscans at the age of 13 and after he became a priest, Peter was made superior of the friary in Aguilar. He was a servant leader who had a special love for the poor and the sick. Throughout most of his life, Peter never went hungry; he lived only on bread and water. St Peter Regalado died on the 30 March 1456 and was canonised by Blessed Pope Innocent XIV in 1746. He is the patron saint of Valladolid, Spain.
