Blessed Miguel Pro was born in 1891 in Mexico. He had a great love for the poor and the working class. Miguel was a Jesuit priest who was exiled during the Mexican Revolution and continued his studies overseas. he later returned to Mexico and conducted underground ministry where he would bring the comfort and sacraments to the faithful. he was falsely accused of a bombing attempt and was sentenced to death. When he was about to be shot, he forgave his executioners, refused a blindfold, and died by shouting “Long live Christ the King!” He died in 1927 and was beatified by St John Paul II in 1988.
