“I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I tell you I shall not eat it until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
On this day we remember the final meal which Christ shared with His apostles before He was to suffer and die on the cross. Christ gives His body and blood in the Eucharist, just as He was to sacrifice Himself for us in His passion on Good Friday.
