Blessed Teresa of Calcutta was born on the 26th August, 1910 in Skope, Albania which is modern day Macedonia. She is well-known for being a nun, a missionary and a teacher in Calcutta, India. Teresa founded the Congregation of the Missionaries of Charity where she helped the poor people of India as well as working with leapers and in disaster areas. She died 5th September, 1997 and was beatified by St John Paul II in 2003. A modern day saint of the 20th century.
