Bl Caesar de Bus was born in Cavllion, France in 1544. He is well known for establishing the Fathers of Christian Doctrine who taught the catechism to ordinary people who were living in neglected rural areas and out of town places. From there he developed a program of family catechism. One of his best known works, Instructions for the Family on the Four Parts of the Roman Catechism was published sixty years after his death. He died in 1607 and was later beatified by Pope Paul VI in 1975.
