‘Numbers’ in Scripture and Tradition

A June 2008 Lumen Verum Apologetics lecture by Mr Andrew Wood on the topic: “Numbers: A Symbolic Application of Numbers in Holy Scripture and Catholic Tradition.”

At the time of this recording, Mr Andrew Wood was in charge of the Catholic Chaplaincy at Macquarie University.

Lumen Verum means true light – the true light of the Catholic faith. Lumen Verum was founded to bring together both those who love the Catholic faith and those who desire to learn more about it from its authentic sources – Scripture, Tradition and the Magisterium. Lumen Verum Apologetics began in February 1996 in the parish of St. Michael the Archangel, in Belfield, Sydney. Lectures are given every Friday during the school year by priests, religious and laity all noted for their outstanding learning and fidelity to Catholic orthodoxy.

Feb 21 – St Peter Damian

Saint Peter Damian, O.S.B. was a reforming monk in the circle of Pope Gregory VII and a cardinal. In 1823, he was declared a Doctor of the Church. Dante placed him in one of the highest circles of Paradiso as a great predecessor of Saint Francis of Assisi.
