Is There a Place for Euthanasia?

Euthanasia has been a regular feature of public debate in recent years, and presents one of the most divisive moral issues of our times. In this talk presented in June 2011, Dr Gregory Pike reviews the meaning of human dignity, the underlying ideologies and drivers behind the euthanasia movement, the state of the issue in Australia, and the experience of legalised euthanasia internationally.

Dr Gregory Pike is the Director of the Adelaide Centre for Bioethics and Culture, was the former Director of the Southern Cross Bioethics Institute, and was also a member of the Australian Health Ethics Committee in from 2006 to 2009.
